Independence Day- Review Those Who Save Us By: Jenna Blum
Wow, Jenna Blum's Novel Those Who Save Us
I must say that finishing this story on the 4th of July has just struck me speechless. I am thankful for the Men and Women that serve their Country and have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
This Story is set from 1938 Germany and 1996 America, The story of Anna a German is in the midst of the impending 2nd World War and takes her throughout the dealings of Nazi Soldiers and the Resistance. Her daughter Trudy has committed herself to find the truth of life in Germany and what her Mother went through. Trudy a Historian Professor at the University sets out with a Project of the War. Will she break her mother's silence of the past or push her further away.
This story brings the other side of the spectrum with triumph and desperation of what would you do to survive the war torn country.
Jenna Blum writes with such feeling as you are bonded within the connection of this Mother and Daughter's relationship.
