Circle in the Sand - Release Day Blitz Sponsored by Give Me Books

Title: Circle in the Sand

Author: Lia Fairchild
Release Date:  January 7, 2014
Four life-long friends bound by two decades of laughter, love, promises, and secrets. Once inseparable, the four grow into independent adults pursuing very different paths.

Sage, raised by career-driven parents, follows a carefully laid out future of success that leaves her wondering what she’s missed out on.

Emily, the college drop-out, now has three children that have become her whole life. She's slowly lost herself, subconsciously seeking dangerous ways to cope. Can she find herself in time?

Jax always lived on the edge, skating through life with no apparent ambition, yet remained the energy and emotional cement of the group. She longs for her friends to accept her without trying to fix her.

Ned, Emily’s twin brother, yearns to stand up and be counted. But his old loyalties and new feelings for one of the girls has him pulled in different directions.

Will the ties that held them together as kids be strong enough for them as adults? These four friends will discover the true meaning of friendship and unveil truths about themselves they never knew existed.

This was my first Lia Fairchild Novel, I will tell you, when you read this you will not want this book to end… Lia writes with the passion that you are a part of the character’s circle. I felt very connected to each character in my own way, whether I was mad at them a minute or wanting to hug them in the next moment…
Four friends will stand the tests of friendships, and loyalties to each other and others in their lives…
Emily, Jax, Sage, and Ned (Emily’s twin brother) have been lifelong friends for twenty plus years, as they were independent in their own way, it made the friendship even stronger. As adults it takes a little give and take to keep their friendship strong… The girls and Ned will need each other just as much now as they did when they were young.

I’ve been creating stories my whole life, but only for me, in my own head. Then one day I sat down and started to write a book. I completed my first novel, In Search of Lucy, in February of 2011. Seven months later, AmazonEncore contacted me about representing my book. It’s currently in the top 10 for Kindle Drama.

My second full-length novel, Vigil Annie, was released on Amazon in December of 2012! One reviewer called this thriller “suspenseful, well-crafted, and fast paced.”

I recently completed my first romantic comedy, The Tech Guy, now available on Amazon.

My other works include a mystery series (A Hint of Murder) and a short, sweet romance (Special Delivery).

Lia Fairchild is both a traditionally published and independent author who writes contemporary fiction, chick lit, romance, and mystery/thriller. Fairchild was born and raised in Southern California and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a multiple-subject teaching credential. She is a wife and mother of two teenagers.

Happy New Year 2014 - Here, Home, Hope By: Kaira Rouda

Happy New Year Bookies
Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions???
This year for me is a big one; it will bring me some joys and some good sadness…
I will get to watch my oldest son Graduate High School; then the next day I will hit the Big 4-0…
I will then embark on another joyful day My Husband and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage.
I will also get 2 new additions to our family a niece or nephew and a new sister in law.
I have also been at my job for 15 years… This brings me to my resolutions and changes in my life.
I read a book right after I turned 39, Here, Home, Hope by Kaira Rouda
This book made me look at me and I asked myself what I wanted to do for me…
So I purchased some post-its and away I went. I love reading and one day an Author sent me a message asking to review his book and it kinda stuck… I loved it, I am able to chat about books, talk to some authors and bloggers. I have met some amazing and great people along the way. I will have my Blog for one year in May and I have enjoyed it all…. I want to thank the authors and other book bloggers and reviewers I have nagged and picked apart their brain.
It is never too late to do something for yourself and for your family no matter what it is… Just get out there and try something new.
Here, Home, Hope

Synopsis:
Kelly Mills Johnson becomes restless in her thirty-ninth year. An appetite for more forces her to take stock of her middling middle-American existence and her neighbors' seemingly perfect lives. Her marriage to a successful attorney has settled into a comfortable routine, and being the mother of two adorable sons has been rewarding. But Kelly's own passions lie wasted. She eyes with envy the lives of her two best friends, Kathryn and Charlotte, both beautiful, successful businesswomen who seem to have it all. Kelly takes charge of her life, devising a midlife makeover plan.
As above I loved this book, I enjoyed the character Kelly, I wanted to have a cup of coffee and talk shop…
Kaira wrote this book with such passion for someone that is in need for a little enlightenment.
Happy New Year to you all, Happy Reading and hopefully we can keep this up for another year or so…
